Brittany is a stay at home mom and home school teacher to 3 living children. She is also the mother to 3 babies that passed in the womb. After a miscarriage and the stillbirth of Jaxon Kade, she and her husband Josh began to search for a way to make a difference for families who grieve the loss of their baby. They decided to create a foundation in Jaxon's honor that provides cooling units and bereavement resources to other families.
Joshua Martin Vice president
Joshua lives in Blanchard with his family. He works fulltime with an oil company to support them. He has a heart for families and especially dads that have lost a baby. After his son Jaxon passed away, he wanted to help other families through their grief. He mixed a passion with a passion and The 4x4 Show was created as a fundraising event benefitting TJKF
Alicia Strawn Secretary
Alicia lives in Yukon, Oklahoma with her husband and two children. Alicia found her place at The Jaxon Kade Foundation through experiencing the loss of her best friends' son Jaxon Kade. The helplessness of that day left her determined to be there for the Martins and any other family that has ever had to endure stillbirth. While she has not experienced a loss of her own, her compassion and dedication to supporting families and raising awareness are what helped us select her to be a part of our Board.
Barbara Beams Director at large
Barbara is from Harrah. Mother of 4 from a previous marriage and mother of 2 with her husband, Randal. Their 1st son, Richard Colbert Beams, was born silently into the world on August 29, 2015. Barbara started talking with Brittany in a stillborn group and after sharing their stories they found out their husbands worked together. This was also her 1st time hearing about the Caring Cradles and she wanted to help get them into every hospital including dedicating one in memory of Richard, which happened in 2018. Her hope is for everyone to remember the babies no matter when the loss occurred and to help parents get thru the grieving process
Catie Macdonald Director of Communications
Catie is from Stillwater, and has three children with her husband, Jason, including their daughter Olivia, who was born into heaven in July of 2018. After experiencing a traumatic delivery birthing Olivia, Catie teamed up with The Jaxon Kade Foundation to help them raise funds for more Caring Cradles in Olivia's memory, to hopefully make other families' experiences at least a little less traumatic. Her hope is that her work will make a difference in the lives of families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss.
